As one of Australia’s prestige ultra-marathon swims, safety is the primary focus for everyone involved in the U24. Ensuring that swimmers, kayakers, boat operators, jet skiers, land crew, support crew and spectators are all able to enjoy the day without incident, is an absolute priority.

We are proud to run the safest possible event we can envisage. The U24 Team has consulted on, discussed, and planned all aspects of how this can be achieved and while the continuing excellence of our safety track record will always depend on the cooperation of every one of our participants, we will continue to review and revise our safety standards and protocols with each ongoing event.
